The Los Angeles Lakers have signed another big man as they look to continue to beef up their front court. The team agreed to terms with former Notre Dame forward Zach Auguste to come to training camp and compete for a roster spot. Terms of the deal were not disclosed due to team policy.

The Auguste signing brings the Lakers' training camp roster to 16 players.

Auguste appeared and started in four Summer League games for the Lakers and averaged 5.3 points and 4.0 rebounds in 15.4 minutes per game. Prior to this, he completed four years in college, all with the Irish, averaging 14.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game.

During his senior year, Auguste led the ACC in rebounding and was selected as a member of the All-ACC Third Team. His last two seasons were highlighted with back-to-back Elite Eight appearances.

He now joins his college teammate, Demetrius Jackson of the Boston Celtics, as the two members of Notre Dame's 2015-16 team currently with NBA contracts.

Zach Auguste will attempt to crack the Lakers roster by showing great energy as well as his rebounding prowess, which he showcased at the NCAA level and during Summer League.
