Los Angeles Lakers guard Alex Caruso is an absolute fan-favorite, and he showed everyone why after he pulled off a massive chasedown block on Jusuf Nurkic in Game 5 against the Portland Trail Blazers.

With the Lakers ahead 100-95, Nurkic saw himself free in front of the basket with the opportunity to cut the lead down to three. However, Caruso saw the opportunity and soared high to stop the easy basket from the Bosnian Beast.

More amazingly, while the Blazers were initially able to recover the ball, Caruso went on to steal it to complete an epic show of defensive intensity.

Alex Caruso has always been a reliable defender and bench producer for the Lakers. While his 2019-20 averages of 5.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists don't particularly stand out, his defense and the energy he provides for the Purple and Gold off the bench are extremely valuable.

The Lakers eventually closed off the series with a 131-122 win, with Caruso finishing with seven points, three rebounds, three assists, four steals and one block in 25 minutes of play.
