The Los Angeles Lakers saw their brief two-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday night, as they fell to the Utah Jazz, 115-100. The Lakers did not go down without a fight, though, and one of the highlights of the evening was Alex Caruso's unexpected alley-oop jam over Jazz veteran Kyle Korver:

The 6-foot-4 point guard showed off his incredible hops as he snatched an over-the-top lob from midair to finish off the play with an emphatic one-handed slam. Caruso was able to catch the ball at the very apex of his leap, leaving Korver with no chance whatsoever.

Alex Caruso scored 13 points off the bench in 26 minutes of play, while also accounting for two 3-pointers, a rebound, four assists, one steal, and just a single turnover.

It was Kyle Kuzma who led the way for a LeBron James-less (rest) Lakers side, with his team-high 21 points on 8-of-18 shooting. The second-year forward also logged two 3-pointers, two rebounds, and a couple of blocks in 31 minutes of play.

Lakers big man JaVale McGee, who has been on an absolute tear of late, kept it going Wednesday as he had a respectable outing against reigning Defensive Player of the Year winner Rudy Gobert. The 31-year-old Lakers center recorded a 16-point, 13-rebound double-double, along with an assist and two blocks.

Unfortunately for the Lakers, they had no answer for Gobert, who dropped a game-high 22 points (on a highly efficient 9-of-12 shooting) and notched 11 rebounds, two steals, and three blocks.

Los Angeles will be back in action Friday as it takes on the Charlotte Hornets, who are still in the hunt for one of the final playoff spots in the Eastern Conference.
