As the Los Angeles Lakers battled against the Boston Celtics on Sunday, the focus has been on LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Jayson Tatum. However, Rajon Rondo took the spotlight from them for a brief moment with a magician-like play.

Late in the first quarter, Rondo found Davis after rebounding AD's missed shot and shooting him a behind-the-back pass for a slam dunk.

The Celtics and the Lakers are two of the top teams in the NBA. Nonetheless, it shouldn't surprise many if the two teams meet in the NBA Finals. For what it's worth, LA head coach Frank Vogel thinks that the Celtics are legit title contenders.

ā€œI think they have a very legitimate chance of competing for the title, particularly coming out of the East. Theyā€™re a team this year that is showing to be greater than the sum of theirĀ parts, and when you have that element to it, you absolutely are a contender,ā€ Vogel said ahead of the Lakersā€™ Sunday showdown with the Celtics, perĀ Dave McMenamin of ESPN.

Sure enough, Vogel has a gem in the former Celtics star point guard. Rajon Rondo may no longer be the elite point guard he once was, but he's still a presence on the floor.

Experience will be a key factor for the Lakers, and Rondo, James, JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard all have that NBA Finals experience. However, having a brilliant point guard like Rondo who is still effective will be a defining factor for the team in the end.
