The Los Angeles Lakers' Brandon Ingram continues his strong play in the final stretch of the season.

Ingram had 31 points, eight rebounds, and two assists in the Lakers' 131-120 loss against the Milwaukee Bucks at home. He had a couple of highlight plays in the game, including this hammer slam against former teammate Brook Lopez.

He threw it down with massive force.

Ingram has scored at least 25 points in four of the Lakers' last five games. Unfortunately, the team was only able to win two of those. Los Angeles is currently 10th in the Western Conference standings with a 30-32 record, and the loss against the Bucks meant that they are still 3.5 games behind the San Antonio Spurs who hold the West's eighth seed.

Still, the third year forward out of Duke University is making his presence felt for the Lakers, especially during the month of February, the month that saw him become a part of trade packages the team has assembled in an attempt to acquire Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans.

It is unclear if Ingram will still be a part of the team next season, but one thing's for sure. He's seriously making big strides this late in the season and it will be hard for Los Angeles to let him go.

Ingram's showing that he has learned how to play with LeBron James, and he's backing it up with some solid numbers. If he continues to play this well up until the end of the season, he might just become the team's second best player.
