Nothing comes in between a foul-mouthed Carmelo Anthony and his rebounds. Everyone knows it but Russell Westbrook had to be reminded the hard way in the Los Angeles Lakers‘ matchup with the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night.

Westbrook is notorious for taking away rebounds that are well on their way towards his teammates. This time around, the 2017 Most Valuable Player was left frozen on his feet as Anthony snared the board in his signature NSFW fashion.

This moment isn't new to Russ, though, as Westbrook and Anthony played together for the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2017-18 season. Anthony had to take detours in Houston and Portland before reuniting with Westbrook in Los Angeles.

Looks like it's not just LeBron James and Rajon Rondo's assists but also Anthony's rebounds, who are getting in the way of Westbrook and his triple-double count with the Lakers.

Then again, these two superstars are in Los Angeles to win the grand prize for the first time in their respective careers. The team's success hinges on the two All-Stars integrating their games to the Lakers' scheme of things. After so many years of failure, it's safe to say that both players are now amenable to virtually anything if it means being a champion.

The Lakers' slide continued with their fifth-straight loss. However, it's just the preseason. The team still has plenty of opportunities to work on its chemistry which will result in better communication between Anthony and Westbrook when it comes to rebounds.
