Dwight Howard reportedly looked really good in his workout with the Los Angeles Lakers last month. It's the reason why the Purple and Gold signed Howard over Joakim Noah and Marreese Speights as a replacement for the injured DeMarcus Cousins.

On Monday, Howard showed some fans at Venice Beach just how healthy he is. The former superstar center participated in a dunk-off with pro dunker Chris Staples.

As you can see, Dwight Howard can still dunk the ball with ease despite undergoing two back surgeries. The Lakers signed Howard to a one-year, non-guaranteed deal to serve as a backup for JaVale McGee next season.

Last season with the Washington Wizards, Howard played in just nine games. He underwent a lumbar microdiscectomy in November. Howard put up 12.8 points and 9.2 rebounds with Washington.

The Lakers won't be asking Howard to be a focal point on offense. Instead, LA will need Howard to rebound, block shots and finish at the rim when he's involved in pick-and-roll plays on offense.

In his first stint with the Lakers, Howard put up 17.1 points and 12.4 rebounds. The eight-time All-Star won't be putting up those type of numbers this time around in Los Angeles. Howard has to embrace his limited role or else the franchise will let him go the second he becomes a distraction.
