Los Angeles Lakers center JaVale McGee fooled everyone during a specific play in the team's third preseason game against the Golden State Warriors where he faked an injury in order to get an uncontested dunk.

McGee acted as if he stepped on someone else's foot as he limped his way underneath the Lakers' basket. This prompted Warriors' Draymond Green to go after Anthony Davis, who then threw the ball to McGee who finished the play with a dunk. The veteran center then ran to the other side of the court as if nothing happened.

The Lakers beat the Warriors 126-93. McGee finished with 12 points and six rebounds in 17 minutes of action. Both teams will meet one last time in the preseason on Saturday.

McGee is expected to be the Purple and Gold's starting center after DeMarcus Cousins tore his ACL during a scrimmage a couple of months ago. The 31-year-old big man had a career year with the Lakers last season where he averaged 12.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks in 75 regular-season games. He's expected to share minutes with Dwight Howard at center.

Playing with Davis and LeBron James will definitely allow McGee to get open looks inside the paint. He will not need to fake an injury to get an uncontested dunk as Bron and AD will constantly get double-teamed. What he'll need to focus on is his defense. He already had a great showing at that end of the floor last season, and his consistency will play a key role in the Lakers' success this year.
