It's Halloween and the Lakers are playing the Mavericks tonight and the purple and gold are looking to snap a two-game skid. It's a relatively slow start for LeBron James and company. But somehow, such a start was expected by critics and analysts. James, the young core, and the team's veteran's need some time to develop chemistry.

For his part, the 30-year-old McGee is turning into a critical piece for the Lakers. Through seven games, McGee has logged in 15.4 points per game on 65.3 percent shooting, along with 6.4 rebounds and three blocks.

He's been the recipient of alley-oops from the likes of James, Lonzo Ball, or Rondo. And he's also a workhorse on the offensive glass, getting those critical second-chance points for his team.

The Mavericks, meanwhile, are looking to snap a four-game losing streak. They seemingly have the future in place with the likes of Luka Doncic and Dennis Smith Jr. But just like the Lakers, they are still looking to mesh as a team.

Who will come up on top this Halloween?
