The Los Angeles Lakers have been making a habit of winning lately and guard Jordan Clarkson has been at the center of their latest surge. After scoring 29 points versus the New York Knicks Sunday night, teammate Josh Hart decided to troll Clarkson when a reporter asked him about his latest performance.

ESPN Los Angeles was able to capture the hilarious incident on video with Clarkson being interviewed and Hart in the background.

Everyone had a good laugh with that one but it’s the Lakers who are truly smiling.

The Lakers won the ball game with a lopsided victory, 127-107, showing much improvement defensively to match their up-tempo offense.

Before anyone thinks that Clarkson has been a ball hog recently, he finished the game with 10 assists to go along with six rebounds and three steals. In the previous game against the Indiana Pacers, Clarkson exploded for 33 points with seven rebounds and seven assists. Again, the Lakers won by double digits 99-86.

Clarkson’s resurgence has coincided with the Lakers’ winning six of their last eight games. With rookie Lonzo Ball out indefinitely with a knee injury, the Missouri product has maximized his extended playing time by taking more of the scoring and playmaking load.

According to Ohm Youngmisuk of ESPN, Lakers coach Luke Walton says:

“I don't expect him back [anytime soon]. I haven't seen him on the court doing anything but they're looking at it, still just taking it day-by-day to see when the knee is feeling better.”

This just means more minutes in the coming games for Clarkson who is seeing the basket more clearly the past few days. And his teammates are getting the ball as well, no matter what Hart says.
