Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard JR Smith is enjoying the bubble life to the best of his abilities.

However, Smith doesn't have enough underwear or socks.

The Lakers signed Smith once Avery Bradley announced he wasn't going to play in the bubble games. Smith and Lakers superstar LeBron James already have a rapport, so it made all the sense in the world for Los Angeles to ink the veteran shooting guard.

Smith averaged 6.7 points in 11 games with the Cleveland Cavaliers last season. He has career NBA averages of 12.5 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 971 regular-season games. The Lakers are hoping Smith will have his head on a swivel and play smart basketball for the team once the 2020 playoffs start.

Led by James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers racked up 49 wins before the 2019-20 season was suspended in March. The Purple and Gold are 5.5 games ahead of the Los Angeles Clippers in the Western Conference standings.

When the playoffs begin in August, the Lakers will ultimately go as far as LeBron and Davis can lead the team. However, Smith's defense and 3-point shooting will be important, too.

JR hasn’t played in an NBA game since November 19, 2018, so he's going to be very rusty moving forward. That's why the scrimmage and seeding games are of vital importance to the Lakers.
