Kobe Bryant stopped by “The Late Late Show” as a guest of host James Corden, faced with a truth-or-dare scenario: to rank himself with Michael Jordan and LeBron James or eat cow tongue to avoid the controversy.

The Los Angeles Lakers icon swiftly picked up the cow tongue, unsure of how to tackle it best, until he looked back at Corden and did the unthinkable. Watch below:

“Seriously? You know what I'm gonna answer, but I'm not gonna answer it because everybody is gonna sit there and debate about it, so I'm just gonna take a bite of this
”

Bryant hesitated at first, but his list was one that rolled off the tongue (and not the cow tongue) pretty easily after a little convincing from Corden:

“Fine,” said Bryant. “I'm the best, Michael is second-best, LeBron is third-best.”

Less than a week ago, Bryant was hesitant to engage on the GOAT debate in an interview with ESPN's Mike Greenberg, saying that the generational gap, speed of the game, and circumstantial difference would be too tough to quantify and make it a debate.

Funny it took a late-night show host and a really disgusting dry cow tongue to pry the words from Bryant's mouth, as this is the very first time the five-time NBA champion has dared to say those words.

Much like Jordan, Kobe Bryant is incandescently competitive and admittedly spent most of his career chasing the ghost of Michael, soon becoming the face of the league like his idol once did.

A 20-year career and an arsenal of accolades have put his name up for fair discussion of the title of greatest of all time, one in which he has put some sort of finality on, even if just for laughs and giggles.
