Since retiring, Kobe Bryant has become a mentor for current players around the NBA and WNBA. The latest player to call upon Bryant's wisdom is Candace Parker of the Los Angeles Sparks.

Parker posted an Instagram on Tuesday where she is working on her footwork with the all-time great. Not many players were more meticulous with their craft than Bryant. Players all over the NBA and WNBA seek his guidance in the offseason, and Parker is no different:

Not many in the history of the game had better footwork than Bryant. He always had a knack for getting his hallmark turnaround jumper off thanks to his tremendous footwork. Even though the mid-range shot has lost favor in today's game, the turnaround can still be effective.

Parker is already one of the all-time greats in the WNBA. She has a championship, two MVPs, a Finals MVP, five All-Star selections, and five All-WNBA first-team selections to her credit. Working with Kobe can only help her build on her impressive career.

The Sparks were soundly defeated 96-64 by the Washington Mystics in the second round of the 2018 WNBA Playoffs. Parker led the way for her team with 16 points and eight rebounds, but she was the only player in double figures for the Sparks. There's no doubt that the loss stung for Parker and her teammates.

Parker is clearly staying focused on making sure an early playoff exit doesn't become routine for the Sparks.
