Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma spent the first few days of the 2019-20 season on the sidelines, nursing an ankle injury that forced him out of the World Cup. Yet the invaluable spark plug made use of his extra time making deliveries part-time for Panera Bread as a way to make some extra cash.

Kuzma, a Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt fan, took orders behind the register as well as going on the road for some deliveries to unsuspecting, yet hungry customers.

It's not every day that Panera customers get a 6-foot-9 delivery man with long strides, quickness, and a true sense for cashing in on the clutch — skills Kuzma has taken from the basketball court to his Panera app to connect with fans and make some extra bread while at it.

Kuzma recently locked up a deal as the face of Puma, a sneaker company looking to revive its long history in the NBA. Though Panera offers him a quick way to connect with fans as well as make some cash in his time off, perfect for that downtime in the midst of an injury.

Since returning from his ankle setback, Kuzma is averaging 11.1 points and 3.4 rebounds through 18 games for the Lakers, as he gears back into shape for a long 82-game season.

The Lakers desperately need Kuzma to get himself back on track. He has struggled with consistency this season, but the sky is the limit for him moving forward.
