The game between the Los Angeles Lakers and Washington Wizards last Wednesday became a highly anticipated one, as LaVar Ball went public in telling the D.C. team to prepare well, as the Lakers will not lose their second consecutive game on the night. That prompted Marcin Gortat to fire back by saying John Wall will “torture” his son, Lonzo, the whole game.

Living up to his bold claims in the past, the older Ball predicted on live TV that the Lakers would complete a come-from-behind victory, despite facing a 10-point deficit with only nine minutes left in the game. He once again showed the utmost confidence in his son and his team, calling the win even during the time they were trailing.

“See me after the game, we’re gonna get this W.” Ball said.

The Lakers certainly made the Big Baller Brand CEO look like a genius, as they indeed pulled off the victory. They used a big run that started with less than seven minutes left, which proved to be the difference for them to earn the win. Despite his poor shooting, Lonzo Ball still stuffed the stat sheet with his all-around brilliance, finishing with six points, eight rebounds, 10 assists, one steal and one block.

They may have won on the night, but the Lakers were not able to build on the momentum they had, as they lost their last two games. They currently have a 2-4 win-loss slate, after suffering back-to-back defeats against the Toronto Raptors and Utah Jazz. If there's any good news for them though, it's still very early in the season, and they have a lot of games left to surprise many by contending for a playoff spot in the tough Western Conference.
