Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is not only one of the best players on the planet right now, but as made evident by his recent antics at his son's high school basketball game, the three-time NBA champ also happens to be quite a huge fan of amateur basketball — especially when his eldest son, Bronny, is playing.

LeBron “Bronny” James Jr. is a 14-year-old playing for the North Coast Blue Chips, an AAU team. In his team's last game, Bronny threw down a highlight-reel jam, which brought his dad to his feet and elicited a familiar celebration:

The lane was pretty clear for Bronny, which makes us question what type of defensive scheme the opposing team was playing at that point. Nonetheless, despite having literally no defense on him during the play, the younger James still showed some pretty impressive hops as he finished with an emphatic slam.

Bronny just started his high school basketball career, and already, there have been rumors about several scholarship offers from a number of NCAA Division I teams. No formal offers appear to have already been put on the table, but last year, LeBron did give a bit of a hint that his son might end up playing for Coach K at Duke four years from now.

For his part, though, James is showing us a very “normal” side of him, as he becomes the typical overenthusiastic dad showing his 101 percent support to his pride and joy — an opportunity every single father would surely cherish.

Editor's note: This post was corrected to say Bronny was playing for the North Coast Blue Chips in this game, and not Sierra Canyon School.
