The Los Angeles Lakers finally got a win over the Los Angeles Clippers in what was a brilliant display of basketball. LeBron James led the charge for the Purple and Gold as they did more than enough to stop Kawhi Leonard and Paul George from winning the season series.

Lakers fans, who are definitely happy that they finally beat their city rivals, were understandably loud during the final moments of the game. In fact, they let James know what they thought of him during the time he was lining up to take a free throw.

Everyone at Staples Center were chanting MVP for their veteran superstar. LA Times Sports managed to get a whiff of the action inside the fabled arena, and the atmosphere was electrifying.

It was a tight contest with the lead changing hands a couple of times. However, it was the Lakers who managed to get the last laugh.

LeBron James finished with 28 points, seven rebounds, nine assists and two blocks. Meanwhile, Anthony Davis had a solid night of his own with his 30 points, eight rebounds, two assists,  two steals and one lock.

The Lakers will be looking to finish their season series evenly, and their finals clash of the season should be an exciting affair.
