Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James shared a glimpse of the fresh threads he will be donning in the highly anticipated Space Jam sequel called “A New Legacy.”

The 4-time NBA MVP released the teaser clip through his media company UNINTERRUPTED on Monday.

Judging by the vibrant colors of the jersey, LeBron James is definitely veering away from the plain white uniform design worn by Michael Jordan in the original 1996 film. The teal ensemble still features the “Tune Squad” name, while also displaying the Looney Tunes circular logo on the right side.

It is also worth noting that LeBron James opted to use the number 6, foregoing his usual no. 23, which Michael Jordan used in the first film.

Back by Warner Bros. Pictures, Space Jam 2 is scheduled for a theatrical release in the United States on July 16, 2021. The live-action/animated sports comedy certainly seeks to replicate the massive success of its predecessor.

LeBron James will be joined by Looney Tunes' most beloved cartoon characters, including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Lola Bunny, among others.  Actors Don Cheadle and Sonequa Martin-Green also round up the main cast.

Moreover, current NBA players Klay Thompson, Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard, Chris Paul, and Kyle Kuzma are expected to make cameo appearances, along with WNBA superstars Diana Taurasi, Nneka Ogwumike, and Chiney Ogwumike. LeBron James has a supporting cast, and we're not talking about the Lakers.
