The quest for The King's throne is officially underway. And, he's not letting up. LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers finally got back on court against city-rivals Los Angeles Clippers after a four-month layoff. And, early in the second quarter, James rocked the bubble with a powerful slam to announce his return.

With plays like this, LBJ is slowly proving that he's aging like fine wine.

17 seasons in the league and throwing it down like that still? That's just nasty.

The Lakers had a strong start in their first game in the NBA Bubble in Orlando. It was as if the Purple and Gold didn't miss time as they were already up by double digits in the opening quarter. And, as the second quarter began, James came up with an early candidate for pay of the night.

The four-time MVP drove past Clippers star Kawhi Leonard from top of the key to delivery an emphatic jam.

Is this the man they were calling washed up? Doesn't look like it. Even with four months of zero competitive basketball during the COVID-19 lockdown, LBJ seems to be fully locked in.

James is already on his 17th season in the league and is still one of the best (if not the best) players out there right now. He's averaging 25.7 ppg, 7.9 rpg and a career-high of 10.6 apg on his second year in LA. And, with athletic plays like this, it's not hard to imagine that James can still continue to throw it down for years to come.

Coming into the NBA restart, LebRon is determined to clinch his fourth NBA ring – his first for the Lakers.
