Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Danny Green denied that superstar small forward LeBron James has held private on-court workouts with some of his teammates.

Shams Charania of Stadium reported that LeBron was training with one or two of his Lakers teammates at a private location and that all of the participants have been tested for COVID-19 and practicing social distancing.

Green, however, wouldn't confirm those rumors during an interview with Colin Cowherd:

Even if the LeBron workout rumor is true, Green isn't going to admit it during an interview. He has been in the game for a while and understands what and what not to say, so he was likely just playing it safe with these comments considering the gravity of the situation.

LeBron and the Lakers had the best record in the Western Conference standings before the 2019-20 season was suspended. There are reports that the season could resume in July at Walt Disney World.

The Lakers were 49-14 before Utah Jazz All-Star center Rudy Gobert tested positive for COVID-19 and Adam Silver suspended the campaign. Green is in his first season with the Purple and Gold after playing for the Toronto Raptors in 2018-19. The sharpshooter and two-time champion was averaging 8.2 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 61 games prior to the season getting put on hold while shooting 37.8 percent from beyond the arc.

The NBA is still deciding as to what form the league will return if the coronavirus dies down and it's safe to play again. Playoff games could be played right away with the top 16 teams, or there could be regular-season games played before going into the playoffs. There have also been talks of a play-in tournament, as well as a World Cup-style group stage taking place of the first round.
