Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James' birthday is coming up and he will likely get a party worthy of a king. But James, who turns 35 on Tuesday right before New Year's Eve, is not looking forward to having a big one due to some practical reasons.

Shortly after the Lakers walloped the Dallas Mavericks, 108-95, at Staples Center on Sunday, the subject of James' birthday celebration came up during his post-game interview.

A clip from Ben Golliver of The Washington Post showed James' hilarious response when asked what his birthday wish, claiming he wishes not to have a party since he's going to be the one to pay for the expenses.

LeBron James, of course, was in the mood for some jokes after the Lakers started another winning streak following an ugly four game slide. The team now holds back-to-back wins against the Portland Trail Blazers and the Mavs.

It was smooth sailing for the home team from start to finish, as James casually dropped 13 points, 13 assists and six rebounds in the easy win. The league's leading dime dropper also joined the 9,000 assists club on Sunday.

James' birthday this year will definitely be much sweeter compared to last year, as the Lakers still hold the top spot in the West after improving their record to 26-7.

The James household, meanwhile, can certainly afford a lavish party. LeBron ($680 million) was recently ranked fourth in the highest paid athletes of the decade, just behind football superstars Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Boxing superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. still tops the said list.
