LeBron James made it a point to serenade Anthony Davis with a few lines of the happy birthday song inside the Lakers locker room on Wednesday.

Davis, who celebrates his 27th birthday today, has developed a close relationship with James. Their pairing in Los Angeles has paid off in a big way, as the Lakers are currently holding a Western Conference-best 49-14 overall record.

“Happy birthday, A.D. Happy birthday, homie,” James sang as he made his way into the locker room.

Davis, who joined the Lakers prior to the start of this season as part of a trade with the Pelicans, has been a force on both ends of the floor in this campaign. The former No. 1 overall pick has played in 55 games, racking up averages of 26.7 points on 51.1 percent shooting (33.5 percent from beyond the arc), 9.4 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.4 blocks and 1.5 steals in 34.3 minutes per outing.
