With the official release of NBA 2K19 just a couple of days away, 2K Sports has just released a cliff-hanger of a promo via Instagram featuring none other than Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James.
The promotional clip barely lasts five seconds, but the impact is truly quite substantial.

In the ad, James delivers a very short, yet powerful statement. According to The King himself, “every reign comes to an end.” He must not be referring to his metaphorical reign as the anointed king of the NBA, but is likely taking a shot at defending champions Golden State Warriors.
The Warriors are in the midst of building a dynasty after winning three NBA titles in four years. In all of those three championships, James was unfortunately on the losing end. The recent addition of All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins just brought the Dubs a step closer towards a celebrated three-peat. Many consider them to be heavy favorites to lift the title in June, but as proven by this recent statement from LeBron James, he is having none of it.
LeBron's recent relocation to the West — the first time in his 15-year career — brings him to unfamiliar territory. By leaving his comfort zone, he has pitted himself in the belly of the beast, so to speak. Now, there is no possibility for James to meet the Warriors in a fifth consecutive Finals. This season, any challenge to the throne will need to be done in close combat.
