LiAngelo Ball and LaMelo Ball brought the city of Los Angeles a basketball title before their big brother, Lakers guard Lonzo Ball, even does.

It’s a championship that’s not worthy of a downtown parade, though, it’s enough to make Lonzo go crazy inside the locker room of the Los Angeles Baller which seemed packed with more people than the number of folks who showed up at Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California to witness the team’s 132-121 win over Seattle, 132-121 in the Junior Basketball Association’s championship game.

Lonzo was clearly ecstatic over his brothers’ team’s win even if barely anyone watched the game live. He definitely got a kick out of seeing LiAngelo drop an ungodly total of 58 points. LiAngelo ditched his conscience entirely and went 24-for-53 from the field. He did contribute in other areas of the game, however, dishing out six assists and pulling down 11 rebounds while committing just three turnovers.

As for LaMelo, he had a night himself. He shot 10-for-23 from the field and finished with 34 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists. He also turned the ball over 11 times, but his erratic play ultimately did not cost his team the championship.

With the conclusion of the first season of the JBA, the future of LiAngelo and LaMelo now comes into the focus. Will any of them eventually make it to the NBA and join Lonzo Ball?

What’s certain is that LaVar Ball will never stop peddling his sons as the next big things in basketball.
