Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was with Dirk Nowitzki to witness the tribute violations for the late Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant.

In Tuesday's game between the Mavs and the Phoenix Suns at the American Airlines Center, the two teams committed an eight-second backcourt violation followed by a 24-shot clock violation to honor Bryant. The Lakers icon wore the number 8 and 24 in his illustrious 20-year career with the Purple and Gold franchise.

Cuban and Nowitzki applauded together with the audience who chanted “Kobe! Kobe” as the clock wore down.

Not long after the demise of the former Lakers superstar was announced, Mark Cuban issued a statement that not a single Mavs player will ever wear the number 24 again.

Dirk Nowitzki penned a heartfelt message for Kobe Bryant as well. He shared his sympathies with Kobe's wife Vanessa and his daughters, and the friends and families of the seven others who perished in the tragic helicopter crash.

Players and teams around the NBA has offered a tribute for Kobe, with some changing their jersey numbers, writing a message for Kobe on their shoes and doing the clock violations that the Mavs and Suns just did.
