The Los Angeles Lakers have been plagued by injuries since late December. They are currently playing the Phoenix Suns without LeBron James (groin), Lonzo Ball (ankle), and Kyle Kuzma (hip). In a must-win game that needed the rest of the roster to step up, reserve forward Michael Beasley rose to the challenge.

And in doing so, Beasley made a huge rejection of Suns star Devin Booker's dunk attempt.

Beasley signed up for a one-year deal with the Lakers this summer but has missed most of the games in the first few months of the season because of personal issues. He's returned to the line-up earlier this month and has been providing consistency in scoring off the bench.

Beasley had a breakout year as a member of the New York Knicks last season, averaging 13.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per game. One of the reasons the Lakers decided to bring him in was they wanted to pair him with Lance Stephenson to serve as the primary scoring options off the bench.

It is not clear what Beasley's role will be when LeBron James and Kyle Kuzma return, but as of now, he's taking advantage of every opportunity the Lakers are giving him.

The Lakers defeated the Suns, 116-102. Beasley had eight points, four rebounds, six assists, one steal, and three blocks.
