Vanessa Bryant delivered a powerful eulogy for her late husband and daughter, Kobe and Gianna, inside the Staples Center on Monday afternoon. After her touching message, Vanessa was helped off the stage by none other than Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan.

At times, Vanessa struggled to hold back her emotions while delivering her eulogy. However, after a few brief pauses to gather herself, she pushed on. Lakers fans in the audience shed tears as she spoke, but there were also moments of laughter as she reminisced about the ins and outs of their everyday lives.

“God knew they couldn't be on this earth without each other,” Vanessa Bryant said during her speech, referring to Kobe and Gianna. “He had to bring them home to heaven together.”

Kobe and Gianna were killed in a helicopter crash outside Los Angeles last month. Sadly, all nine passengers on the flight, including his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, perished in the tragic accident. According to several accounts, the group was on its way to the Mamba Sports Academy, where Kobe was to serve as a coach for his daughter's basketball team.

A five-time champion and 18-time All-Star with the Lakers, Kobe Bryant will be remembered as one of the greatest basketball players the NBA has ever known. May his legacy, as well as his “Mamba Mentality,” live on forever.
