Los Angeles Lakers point guard Rajon Rondo saw his nightmare scenario come to life, as he was approached by a fan at a local sneaker shop, only to be confused for longtime rival Chris Paul.

Rondo's facial expression is priceless, as the veteran point guard turns around and asks “who?” before getting a “you ain't Chris Paul?” in response:

It's quite possible that the fan was doing this on purpose for a gag clip, but who can blame him upon seeing Rondo's disgusted reaction?

Rajon Rondo's history with Chris Paul goes years back when Paul beat out Rondo for a spot for Team USA's run in the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Paul was heading into his fourth year in the league back then and Rondo into his third. Yet Rondo was coming off a championship season with the Boston Celtics and had all the momentum after leading his team to a title. Paul was the better floor general at the time and capable of knocking down jumpers, which ultimately earned him the spot on the 12-man roster.

The two have traded barbs throughout the years with several on-court tiffs, but the two came head-to-head in 2018, as CP3 claimed Rondo spat on his face during the third game of the 2018-19 season when the Lakers faced the Houston Rockets. Rondo was suspended for three games, while Paul received a two-game ban.

Rondo requested he's never asked about Paul again “now, tomorrow, or any other time.”

You no longer need to imagine what it'd be like if someone dared to do so again, as this fan won the internet with Rajon Rondo's priceless reaction.
