The Los Angeles Lakers dominated the first half of Game 2 of the NBA Finals, with Rajon Rondo and Anthony Davis leading the way.

The Lakers' terrifying playmaker-finisher combo once again strut their stuff against the hapless Miami Heat defense, connecting on a smooth alley-oop play in the second quarter.

Anthony Davis once again proved that he is a one-man wrecking crew, racing ahead five white jerseys on the way to the cup. Being the cerebral playmaker he is, Rajon Rondo perfectly rewarded AD's hustle and threw a pinpoint lob right to the Laker superstar.

Davis did the rest, easily catching the ball mid-air and finishing with an easy deuce to propel another strong LA run. The Purple and Gold held a comfortable lead at halftime, 68-54.

AD and Rondo, of course, have enjoyed plenty of similar plays in the past during their time as teammates with the New Orleans Pelicans.  For sure, we'll see more of this beautiful connection in the NBA Finals series.
