Rajon Rondo was one of the key offseason acquisitions for the Los Angeles Lakers, and they are hoping that he can not only play at a high level but also help Lonzo Ball develop. Rondo is slated to begin the season as the Lakers' starting point guard ahead of Ball, and the veteran's playmaking ability alongside LeBron James is an intriguing thing to think about.

Not only is Rondo a great facilitator and a blossoming mentor, he also is known for his ability to troll opponents. That was on full display in the Lakers' first preseason game against the Denver Nuggets, with Paul Millsap and Torrey Craig the targets of his tomfoolery.

Rondo has been a top-notch troll throughout his whole career. Whether it be his annoying, pesky defensive style or situations similar to the one seen above, Rondo loves to get in the heads of opposing players.

Los Angeles could not be more excited to see what Rondo can do for the team this season. He is coming off a solid all-around season with the New Orleans Pelicans, where he showed great play on the court and a leadership presence in the locker room.

During the 2017-18 season with the Pelicans, Rondo ended up nothing 8.3 points per game to go along with 8.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds per contest. He shot 46.8 percent from the floor overall and 33.3 percent from 3-point range.

Luke Walton and the Lakers will not need Rondo to focus on scoring the ball this season. They will simply be asking him to put his teammates in positions to score. That is something Rondo has been able to do his whole career.

Expect to see Rondo come through with a good season. He may not remain the starting point guard all year, but he will be a key player for the Lakers regardless of the title of his role.
