Lonzo Ball caused quite a stir on Sunday, when he recorded the second triple-double of his young professional career. He finished with 11 points, 16 rebounds, and 11 assists in a convincing win for the Los Angeles Lakes versus the Denver Nuggets. However, a video was shared on Twitter by Mo Dakhil of The Jumpball, that puts into question the legitimacy of Ball's feat on the night.

The clip contains two plays where the 20-year-old UCLA product passed the ball to his teammates, who then took more than two steps and did not shoot immediately. This leaves a cloud of doubt on his triple-double, as well to the Lakers statisticians.

As of the moment, Lonzo Ball still has the triple-double under his belt, but it can be expected that his stats will be monitored closer in the future, even for other players, in order to properly credit them.

There have been triple-doubles that were taken back by the NBA following a review, and it will be interesting to find out if the same will happen to the Chino Hills native or not. However, what is certain is that the Lakers still won on the night, which improved their record to 7-10 for the season, and is most likely what's important to Ball.
