Lonzo Ball is not exactly the superstar yet his father, LaVar Ball, envisioned him to become before he was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in last year’s draft, but that does not mean his not capable of causing people to get starstruck.
Just take for example this kid, who apparently did not have an idea or any inkling that he’s going to meet Lonzo Ball in person, via the Lakers’ official Instagram account.

You know someone is extremely excited when all of a sudden, he or she tried to cover his mouth just to prevent uttering something that’s not found in the vocabulary, which was what the kid exactly did when he realized that he’s about to dap the former UCLA Bruin star. The kid nearly melted. All there was for him to say was “I used to play you with 2K, man.”
As for Lonzo Ball, he’s in the middle of an important season. After having a topsy-turvy campaign in his rookie year, Ball is preparing to meet and surpass people’s expectations of him in his sophomore season in the NBA. Last season, he averaged 10.2 points, 7.2 assists, and 6.9 rebounds per game. While those numbers are solid overall, that did not paint how bad he shot from the floor. He knocked in only 36.0 percent of his shots from the field that season and was a horrendous 30.5 percent shooter from behind the arc. He did not do that well either from the charity stripe, as he sunk just 45.1 percent of his free throws.
Ball has a long way to go to become a superstar in the NBA, but at least one kid already seemingly thinks that he’s one.
