The Baltimore Ravens came up with another impressive victory on Sunday, downing Washington 31-17. This was thanks in large part to a tremendous performance from superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson, who broke yet another NFL record on Sunday.

Ryan Young of Yahoo Sports reports on Jackson's latest accolade:

Jackson became the fastest player in NFL history to eclipse 5,000 career passing yards and 2,000 rushing yards, which he did while leading the Ravens to a 31-17 win against the Washington Football Team at FedExField.

The previous owner of this impressive record was none other than the legendary Michael Vick, who himself needed 39 games to reach this mark. For his part, Jackson eclipsed the 5,000-yard milestone in just 35 games. The wins just keep on coming for the reigning Most Valuable Player — both from a personal standpoint and for his team.

For his part, though, Jackson was not exactly ecstatic about his personal feat, as he pointed out how his eyes remain fixated on the bigger picture.

“[Records will mean something] probably in the long run,” he said, via the Ravens‘ official Twitter account. “I’m focused on trying to win championships. We still have bigger fish to fry right now. Those accolades I feel, I’ll cherish those later.”

This was a huge bounce back win for Lamar Jackson and the Ravens, who were coming off a frustrating loss to the defending champs, the Kansas City Chiefs last week. Baltimore is now 3-1 to open the new campaign. They return to action on Sunday to face off against a 1-2-1 Cincinnati Bengals.
