The streaking Baltimore Ravens finally found their match when they faced the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in Week 3 action. The scoring exhibition put on by the Chiefs powered them to a convincing 36-20 win over the Ravens.

2019 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson was out of words after the loss and simply credited their counterparts for their victory, as quoted by Ravens Editorial Director Ryan Mink via Twitter:

The 23-year old gunslinger had a game to forget as he tallied a career-low output of just 97 passing yards on 15-of-28 completions. It was a far cry from the performance of opposing quarterback Patrick Mahomes who hauled in 385 passing yards on a 31/42 clip along with 5 scored touchdowns.

Jackson also received little help from his teammates with tight end Mark Andrews tallying 22 yards on 3 receptions, running back J.K. Dobbins recording 38 yards on 4 touches while wideout Marquise Brown contributing 13 yards on 2 catches. The loss now puts Jackson and the Ravens at a 0-3 record against Mahomes and the Chiefs.

The former Louisville gunslinger also compared their recent loss to the upset that they suffered against the Tennessee Titans back in the 2019 divisional playoff.

“It looked like the same thing from the Tennessee game to be honest — that's all,” Jackson said.

The Ravens can only go as far as their playmaker will take them. They will aim to bounce back against the Washington Football Team while the Chiefs look to carry on their hot start in a matchup with the New England Patriots in Week 4 proceedings.
