Just two days ago, the BIG3 league announced that it was deactivating four players, and they would no longer play in the league. Former Los Angeles Lakers star Lamar Odom was on that list. His BIG3 career was cut short after only playing in one game. Odom took to Instagram to react to the move and explain what happened:

Even though it seems like the whole thing was dealt with in an unprofessional manner by the BIG3, Odom was respectful and thankful to the league for giving him another shot at playing basketball. It also appears as if Odom was not entirely ready to play in the league, which is not surprising considering his age and what he has been through.

Even though he didn' make it in the BIG#, Odom will forever be immortalized in NBA history for his excellent career. He won two championships with the Lakers in 2008-09 and 2009-10 and won the Sixth Man award the following year.

Unfortunately, Odom dealt with drug addiction after exiting the league, and nearly died after being found comatose on a brothel in Nevada. Thankfully, it seems like Odom is ready to put his past behind him and focus on the game of basketball.

Hopefully, this isn't the last we see of Odom on a basketball court.
