On the same day Steph Curry withdrew his name from consideration for the U.S. Men's national team, LaMarcus Aldridge has done the same, according to ESPN's Marc Stein. Aldridge has apparently cited a hand and finger injury as the primary reason for his withdrawal from the Olympic games in Rio.

Aldridge has never represented his country in international play, even though he has attended Team USA camps in the past. He has either been left off of the roster or pulled his name out of consideration previously as well.

Aldridge was one of 30 finalists named to the USA Team roster.

LaMarcus is also one of six players who have now pulled their names out of consideration, joining fellow star talents John Wall, Blake Griffin, Anthony Davis, Chris Paul, and Steph Curry.
