After recently inking a deal with the Nets after being let go by the San Antonio Spurs, Aldridge walks away from the game after announcing he's suffering from an irregular heartbeat.

After his announcement, the NBA world reacted with heartfelt messages for the 15-year veteran. Former teammates and rivals of LaMarcus Aldridge shared their takes through Twitter.

CJ McCollum was only a teammate to Aldridge for two years, as it was early on in McCollum's career. Another former teammate who played a short stint with Aldridge was Jamal Crawford, who also shared a message on Aldridge's retirement.

Nikola Vucevic was known to battle it out against LaMarcus Aldridge. Although the two were never teammates, they had mutual respect for one another on the court. Vucevic wishes Aldridge well, supporting his decision to retire.

Aldridge walks away from the NBA as one of the better power forwards in the game. He was beloved by Portland Trail Blazer fans, as he played for them for nine years before signing a deal with the Spurs in 2015. Throughout his career, LaMarcus Aldridge played a crucial role every season, playing as one of the top-scoring options for his team. He finished his career averaging 19.4 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks per game.
