LaMelo Ball, the younger brother of New Orleans Pelicans point guard Lonzo Ball, is reportedly not performing very well during his draft interviews, per Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer.

Ball was expected to be one of the first players selected in the 2020 draft, but it looks like his draft stock is slipping.

Via NBC Sports:

“Here is what I’m hearing from the league at large: LaMelo Ball is not performing very well at job interviews,” Bonnell said on Sports Radio WFNZ.

“I’ve heard that from multiple sources. He (Ball) is not improving his perception via job interviews. There are people drafting later in the top ten who were not preparing for the possibility of Ball still being around. And I’m not saying that he will not be a top-three pick. I am saying that I know for a fact that there are teams later in the top ten who are doing more research on him because they no longer think it’s a given he will.”

LaMelo Ball played 12 games in the NBL before suffering a foot injury that forced him to end his one campaign in the NBL early. Ball averaged 17.0 points, 7.4 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game before getting hurt.

The Minnesota Timberwolves have the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 draft. They are followed by the Golden State Warriors, Charlotte Hornets, Chicago Bulls and Cleveland Cavaliers.

It's going to be interesting to see where Ball lands. Like his brother Lonzo, LaMelo's jump shot has many teams concerned about his NBA prospects.
