With the deadline nearing for players to decide whether to pick up their player options or not, a lot of them have been doing it ahead of June 27. The latest one is Sacramento Kings guard Langston Galloway, who will reportedly decline his and test free agency this summer.

The 25-year-old St. Joseph’s product was part of the deal that sent DeMarcus Cousins to the New Orleans Pelicans back in February. Before the move, he spent his first two seasons in the league with the New York Knicks before signing with the Pelicans.

Galloway should generate some interest from other teams as he has proven himself as a versatile player, with the ability to play both guard positions. He has career averages of 9.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 25.3 minutes per game.

It’s still unclear whether the Kings will try to re-sign him, as they currently have an influx of guards in their lineup. However, Galloway has the skill set to become a solid contributor to whichever team secures his services.
