A lot of chatter has surrounded the Los Angeles Lakers lately, especially after they made a blockbuster trade that sent D’Angelo Russell and Timofey Mozgov to the Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Brook Lopez and a first round pick. They were also able to draft Lonzo Ball last Thursday, giving them their point guard of the future.

However, there are still some moves expected to be made by the team over the summer and Larry Nance Jr. recently predicted two of them. He made an appearance on the The HoopsHype Podcast with Alex Kennedy, where he said that he thinks Indiana Pacers forward Paul George will be playing for them on opening night, and that they will also make it to the playoffs next season.

Nance’s comments only goes to show how much belief he has in his team that they’ll be able to land the services of the perennial All-Star. With a better roster, at least on paper, together with a prized rookie and one of the elite players in the league today, he has the utmost confidence that the Lakers can turn their fortunes around.

Although the Western Conference is very tough, having a mix of youth and experience may be what the team needs to return to their glory days. There is no doubt George’s potential addition will give them a cornerstone for their future, as they will immediately become a playoff contender once he wears the Purple and Gold jersey.
