The Philadelphia 76ers have not made the playoffs since 2013 and for the past four years have finished either 14th or 15th in the Eastern Conference. However, with the debut of Ben Simmons expected to happen next season, and the addition of this year’s top overall pick, Markelle Fultz, many are starting to believe that they can make it to the playoffs.

Even the oddsmakers in Las Vegas, including Westgate Resort and Casino, have released its latest odds for the team's chances of making a postseason appearance. Surprisingly, the Sixers are now favored to move on past the regular season and are -125 favorites.

This definitely says a lot about the talent they have acquired in the past few seasons, and with Joel Embiid and Dario Saric proving that they are worth the wait, it adds to the excitement the Philly faithful now have for their team.

Although it’s still a long time before the 76ers can prove that they deserve to be given those odds, it can still be considered a small win for them as many are seeing them having a legitimate chance of making the playoffs this coming season. Should their young core play to their full potential, they might just surprise more people by even making it past the first round.
