Both franchises are battling for a playoff spot and a win drastically increases their chances. We take a dive into this Raiders-Colts game with some of our Raiders Week 17 predictions in mind.

Las Vegas hasn't been the best on defense, but they're not the worst either. They have their hands full on Sunday as they face off against Jonathan Taylor. He's come into his own as a running back and looks to spoil the Raiders' playoff hopes. If Vegas hopes to win this game, they have to slow down Taylor at all costs.

Raiders Week 17 Predictions

4. Raiders defense stuffs Jonathan Taylor

This might come off as far-fetched, as Jonathan Taylor has been on fire this year. It's hard to imagine the Raiders preventing Taylor from having a big game, but it's necessary for them to win. Las Vegas must get aggressive in stopping the Colts' rushing attack, as that is the best way to defeat Indianapolis.

3. Josh Jacobs goes off for 100+ yards and 2 touchdowns

Josh Jacobs has been just above average this season. He's been a decent running back for the Raiders but hasn't done anything spectacular. All that can change with a big performance on Sunday, as Las Vegas needs him to be at his best against the Colts.

To do that, Vegas must feed him the ball early and often. Establishing the run and controlling the clock should be a key to victory, as it'll keep the ball out of Jonathan Taylor's hands. If the coaching staff can do that, then Josh Jacobs and the Raiders should keep within striking distance.

2. Hunter Renfrow proves to be a franchise receiver

With Darren Waller ruled out, Henry Ruggs off the team, and Bryan Edwards being a disappointment so far, Hunter Renfrow has become the Raiders' top pass option. He's an incredible route runner and has solid hands. Renfrow has been fantastic this year and we should see him put up big numbers for the Raiders.

He has an opportunity to make himself a household name on Sunday. Hunter Renfrow will be heavily involved in the Raiders' game plan as they participate in a must-win game. Look for Renfrow to light up the field and provide a spark in Las Vegas's ariel attack.

1. Derek Carr leads Vegas to a massive win

It's been an up and down season for Derek Carr. Regardless, the Raiders have overcome a ton of adversity and are in place to potentially make the postseason. Now is the time for Carr to step up when his team needs him most. It'll be interesting to see how this one plays out, as the Colts' defense has been stellar during their winning streak. This is an incredibly tough matchup, but it's time for Carr to carry his team in a must-win scenario.
