The latest episodes of ESPN's “The Last Dance” gave viewers yet another too-good-to-be-true moment involving former Chicago Bulls' eccentric forward Dennis Rodman.

In the middle of their grueling NBA Finals series against the Utah Jazz, Rodman decided to skip practice to attend a professional wrestling event.

Instead of preparing for the Jazz, the 6-foot-7 rebounding machine joined Hulk Hogan and the rest of The New World Order (NWO) in an appearance for World Championship Wrestling (WCW).

Adding more hilarity to the story was the fact that Dennis Rodman managed to sneak past some 300+ media members by using Gate 3, which was ironically the designated entrance for the press.

As seen in earlier episodes of the docuseries, Rodman has always been requesting the Bulls for respites from basketball whenever he feels the need to take his mind off things.

Bulls head coach Phil Jackson has been extremely lenient with The Worm's rather unconventional behavior, granted that he needs those breaks to perform in peak form. Jackson also approved Rodman's plea for a mini-vacation in Las Vegas.

The professional wrestling tenure seemed to invigorate Rodman, as he was key to locking down Jazz superstar Karl Malone throughout the Final series. Chicago bested Utah in six games and went on to win their 5th NBA title.

Rodman enjoyed wrestling so much that he made more appearances in the following years. He even got Malone to come with him, as they faced each other in a tag team match at the July 1998 Bash at the Beach event.

The Worm, meanwhile, is indeed one of a kind. No other player in today's game would even think about pulling off the “adventures” that he went on.
