On the heels of the rousing success of “The Last Dance” docuseries, ESPN plans to exclusively televise “Game 6: The Movie” — a rendering of Game 6 of the Chicago Bulls' 1998 NBA Finals title-clinching game over the Utah Jazz.

Episodes 9 and 10 of “The Last Dance” built up to a crescendoed finale, featuring Jordan's heroics late in the game to pull off an improbable win over a stout competitor.

Quickly after the end of the series, “SportsCenter With Scott Van Pelt” showed high-definition footage of the last few seconds of Game 6. This new movie will feature exclusive, never-before-seen game footage captured by five different cameras from NBA Entertainment, the same company in charge of providing footage for “The Last Dance.”

The movie will present new and innovative HD views of the historic game and feature the original commentary provided for the live game telecast by NBC's Bob Costas, Isiah Thomas, Doug Collins, Ahmad Rashad, and Jim Gray.

“It’s not often sports fans get the chance to view an entire game in a truly cinematic form. Viewers will now have that opportunity,” said executive producer Gregg Winik. “The film footage paired with the original telecast commentary creates a unique multi-media experience the likes of which have never been seen before. Now that the world intimately knows The Last Dance cast of characters, Game 6: The Movie is the perfect epilogue.”

“Game 6: The Movie” is slated to air on Wednesday, May 20 at 9 p.m. ET, following a re-air of “The Last Dance” Episode 9 at 7 p.m. ET and Episode 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
