Big3 league creator Ice Cube made headlines last week when he issued a challenge to LaVar Ball. He dared Ball to make a shot from the league’s four-point shot distance, and should he convert, promised to buy 10 pairs of the Big Baller Brand’s ZO2’s, which has a retail price of $495 each.
A few days after the rapper and actor posted the video on Twitter, Ball has responded by accepting it, in a video he posted on BBB’s Instagram account. He then added a twist to the challenge, telling Ice Cube that if he makes the shot before he does, he needs to purchase 14 pairs of Lonzo Ball’s signature kicks, for his whole travel ball team.
“We gonna accept that challenge, man. If I make this shot before you make it, you have to buy my whole travel ball team—that’s 14 people—ZO2s.”

The ball is now on Ice Cube’s court to respond and also set the particulars of their face off — should he accept it. If this happens, whoever wins, both brands of Ice Cube and LaVar Ball are only going to benefit from the hype that this shootout is projected to create.
