It’s no secret that LaVar Ball loves the spotlight and is never shy to speak his mind. As expected, he was present during the NBA Draft on Thursday as he accompanied his son, Lonzo Ball, who was taken second overall by the Los Angeles Lakers. However, not everyone in attendance was pleased by the presence.

On his way out of the arena, the former pro football player was booed by the Brooklyn crowd. He responded by throwing his Big Baller Brand cap to the fans, but his action did not change the loud voices of disapproval they have for him.

For months now, the older Ball has made a lot of headlines for the hilarious and even downright absurd comments he made about different basketball topics, and the way he built-up his sons. Many even trolled him on social media for his antics, as they believed he was doing it just to get more attention to his family.

Now with Lonzo part of the Lakers, LaVar got his wish of seeing his son play for their hometown team, which will allow him to stay close to home and family. However, the former UCLA guard will have to live up to the hype in order to silence their critics and prove that everything his father said about him is true.
