When LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball signed their one-year deals with Lithuanian professional basketball team Prienu Vytautas, a lot of questions quickly emerged, as it was not the conventional path players take before they declare for the NBA Draft. Another thing many wondered on was how they’ll adjust to living in a different country, and having a language barrier, as English is not the primary language in the European country.

However, their father, LaVar Ball, recently said that he is not worried about it at all. He also added, via TMZ Sports, that his sons will be in Lithuania to play basketball, and the language barrier should not pose as a challenge to them.

“There's not going to be a struggle at all. Who cares (about the language barrier)? We're going to play basketball. Cheer for a hoop.”

While most aspiring young players opt to take their talents to different schools and play in the NCAA, the Big Baller Brand CEO decided to pull out LiAngelo from UCLA, and LaMelo from Chino Hills High School so he can train them. But the Balls caused quite a stir recently, when news broke about the brothers’ signing to turn pro, as it caught a lot of people by surprise.

There is no doubt that the two have the skill set to succeed, but it remains to be seen how they’ll fare against taller players in Lithuania, who have different playing styles. However, if they’ll be able to hold their own there, it could speed up their development, and prepare them well for the NBA.
