LaVar Ball is a master at getting his name and brand in today's NBA media cycle, creating scenarios for himself that end up making a four-time NBA champion release a diss track about him.

Shaquille O’Neal released a hilarious yet clever diss track on LaVar Ball yesterday that pretty much summed up why LaVar needs to go sit down somewhere. Shaq is a proven basketball powerhouse that has no business receiving challenges from the likes of LaVar, but the loudmouth father of Lonzo, LaMelo, and LiAngelo Ball breaks the status quo and remains critical of Shaq, even after being asked about the rap song.

“Aye man, people still doing diss tracks?” Ball remarked in the video. “Ain’t he like 50? Who’s gonna listen to that bulls–t? To remain relevant, he gotta put my name in whatever he’s doing. Otherwise everybody forget about Shaq. Because that's all he is… A Shaq.”

“His career been over for a long time, so now it’s time to jump on the Big Baller’s coattail,” continued Ball. “I get it, it’s entertainment. He’s a good rapper though. For somebody who don’t like rap.”

These comebacks from LaVar are pretty empty, as Shaq has plenty to show to remain relevant. Just look at this clever line in his diss track:
