Luka “Perkz” Perković, G2 Esports' star AD Carry, is reportedly exploring options of playing in the NA region. The rumors circulated the web when ESPN reporter Jacob Wolf took to Twitter about the possible moves from G2 Esports management and Perkz himself.
.@G2esports and @G2Perkz have been actively engaging the past two weeks with six different teams — Cloud9, Evil Geniuses, 100 Thieves, TSM, Team Vitality and Misfits — sources told me. Cloud9 are his desired destination, on an #LCS record-setting proposed salary, but… (cont)

Rumors first circulated towards the end of October of this year with Perkz quickly putting a halt to the then-unfounded claims. The EU AD Carry emphasized that rumors are often found to be untrue. Subsequently, he joked about potentially taking his talents to the NA region. It was rumored that Perkz' departure from G2 would see the skilled player take up his old Mid Laner mantle.
Rumors are often false guys

Now that the rumors about his possible team change have resurfaced, NA fans wait with bated breath. It's an especially perfect time for NA to receive a new star Mid Laner following the retirement of another EU Mid Lane star, Bjergsen. Sources have allegedly stated that Perkz' buyout from the G2 roster is just a little under $5 million.
The holdup remains Perkz’s buyout, which G2 have told several teams is just shy of $5 million, according to sources.
If Cloud9 and G2 can come to terms, Perkz would reunite with @Zven, his former teammate. The duo won three EU LCS titles from 2016-17.

It's no surprise that teams would be lining up to spend all their money on a player like Perkz. He has earned multiple accolades both in the Mid Lane and as Carry in the bot lane. Perkz has also managed to win his first international tournament in the 2019 Mid-Season Invitational. Chief of his recent successes is the impressive back-to-back stints in the world championships. Perkz and G2 made it to the grand finals in 2019 with a modest 3rd-4th finish in this year's Worlds.
It would be a crushing blow to G2's streak of dominance in the EU should they lose Perkz. However, by the same coin, it would be interesting to see just how much he can shake up the LCS playing either as Mid or Carry.
