Leandro Barbosa re-unites with the Phoenix Suns on a 2-year, $8 million deal

A reunion is now in the making as Leandro Barbosa and the Phoenix Suns have reportedly agreed on a $8 million/2 year deal according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

This comes after announcing yesterday that he will be playing for Brazil in the coming Rio Olympics. He will now be re-united to the team where he started his NBA career in 2003.

Despite only having 16 minutes of playing time last season with the Golden State Warriors, he still averaged a decent 6.4 points per game and shot better than 50% from two-point range, so playing time is a non-factor for the signing as the 34-year old will be seen as a veteran mentor to the Suns’ young and crowded backcourt with the likes of Brandon Knight, Eric Bledsoe, Devin Booker and Archie Goodwin.
